深远海区域对中国海上交通线的安全、深海资源的开发、生态环境安全和军事战略空间具有重大意义。习近平主席在中国科协第九次大会上提出了“深海进入、深海探测、深海开发”的深海发展战略。深远海装备在目标区域长期持续运行有赖于可靠的能源保障,核能具有能量密度高,无需助燃剂等优点,满足深海装备动力高效、稳定、安全和长续航等要求。新型深海铅铋合金冷却反应堆(简称铅铋堆)核动力系统一回路采用液态铅铋合金进行堆芯冷却,二回路配置有机朗肯循环或磁流体发电装置,具有功率密度高、寿期长、热电转换效率高、系统简化、固有安全、运行简便等突出特点,为我国海洋探索、开发和监测提供有力能源保障。

A new type of deep-sea lead-bismuth cooled reactor (referred to as a lead-bismuth reactor for short) uses liquid lead-bismuth alloy for core cooling in the primary circuit and organic Rankine cycle or magnetic fluid power generation device in the second circuit. It has the advantages of high power density, long life, high thermoelectric conversion efficiency, simple system, inherent safety, and simple operation. It will provide a powerful energy guarantee for China's ocean exploration, development and monitoring.
