The data were collected from EBSD tests on square FeCrAl samples. Figure a shows the cross sectional area, showing approximately equiaxed crystals of different sizes. Figure b shows the vertical section area, with elongated grains. The long axis of the grain was along the building direction, and the shaped grain can be judged as columnar crystal along the building direction by unifying the cross section and the vertical section. The grain orientations in vertical and cross sections were concentrated in <001> and <101> directions. The organization had a distinct orientation. As can be seen from the polar figure, both sections show strong texture, especially in the cross section, with grains concentrated in the {100} crystal plane.
