Disclosed are a fluorescent glass ceramic material and a light-emitting device containing the same. The fluorescent glass ceramic material is composed of glass ceramic materials and fluorescent powder, wherein the glass ceramic materials are SiO2, Al2O3, B2O3 and alkali metal oxides (Na2O and K2O) or divalent metal oxides (CaO, SrO, BaO and ZnO); the fluorescent powder has a molecular formula of LnMRbNyCez, wherein Ln is one or two from La, Lu, Gd and Y, R is one or two from Si and G, 2<=m<=4, 5<=b<=7, 10.5<=y<=11.5, and 0<z<=0.5. The fluorescent glass ceramic material can be excited efficiently by ultraviolet light, near ultraviolet light and blue light, and the main emitting peak of the fluorescent glass ceramic material is positioned at 520-550 nm. The fluorescent glass ceramic materialcan not only avoid the problems of degradation and yellowing caused by traditional fluorescent powder packaging manners, but also further improve the thermal stability of existing fluorescent glass ceramic materials; the light-emitting device containing the fluorescent glass ceramic material can be widely applied to the field of high-density energy excitation lighting and display.
