Invented a method for preparing a high-purity refractory metal block. A simple and flexible coating material is wrapped around a tungsten alloy material. After vacuum sintering, a sintered product whose outer surface is completely covered by the coating material is obtained, and then the outer surface of the sintered product is removed. The coating material can obtain a high-purity block without carbon pollution. The process can be completed in ordinary high-temperature sintering equipment, which is suitable for high-efficiency and low-cost sintering and molding of refractory metal blocks with high-purity requirements.
