Oscar Mattos is professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro since 1981. He is Docteur d'Etat from the University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France) in 1981. Graduated in Metallurgicall Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1975. Master of Science Federal University of Rio de Janeiro 1977, Docteur D´Etat Université de Paris VI 1981. Head of LNDC- Laboratório de Ensaios Não Destrutivos ,Soldagem e Corrosão. Full Professor at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro since 1981. Main scientific interests are corrosion and electrochemical Techniques. More than 100 papers published on international and national journals and in international and national conference proceedings. Guest editor of 2 special issues of international journal . Member of Editorial board of Corrosion Science published by Elsevier.
