Figure 2 shows the isothermal weight gain of Ti–6Al–4V alloy as a function of oxidation time at temperature between 850 and 1100 C. The weight gain curves in
Fig. 2 show that the alloy examined has obvious different oxidation behaviors at different temperatures and times. As the oxidation temperature increased above Tb,
the weight gain curves were signifificantly higher than that below Tb.
