After the atom is dislocated by irradiation or thermal excitation, in addition to creating a gap atom in the system, it will also leave a vacancy in the original lattice position. Vacancy attracts and gathers to form vacant clusters. The formation energy of different types of vacancies and double vacancies in FeCrAl was studied.
