The optical microstructure of the as-cast zinc-copper alloy shows that the increase of the copper content has a certain effect on the grain refinement. When the copper content is less than 1%, no obvious second phase is found in the as-cast structure. Obvious solidification structure was observed in Zn-2Cu, namely primary Zn matrix and secondary dendrite phase.
