The basic phase composition of Zn-0.8Cu microtubes is a Zn (Cu) solid solution substrate and a second phase of ε (CuZn5) with a HCP lattice structure. It can be seen in Figure 4-9 that the characteristic peak intensity of CuZn5 phase is weak, indicating that the content of CuZn5 phase is low. The research results of similar composition alloys (Zn-1wt.%Cu) have also been reported similarly. In the subsequent process of processing the microtubes into the stent, the zinc alloy no longer undergoes thermal processing, so the basic phase composition of the Zn-Cu stent is also Zn (Cu) solid solution + a small amount of ε (CuZn5) second phase.
