XRD patterns in Fig. 2a and b show that the ZneLi alloys consist of Zn, β or α-LiZn4 phases. Intensities of β phase peaks increase with Li content, especially for those at 21.91° and 42.60°, indicating a larger amount of β phase with higher Li content. Weak diffraction peaks of α phase have been detected in Zn-0.5Li and Zn-0.8Li alloys, indicating the amounts of α phase are low.
